Barcelona Set to Play Inaugural Game at Renovated Camp Nou on Saturday
Barcelona have announced they are set to host at the partially upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday. The club will host the Bilbao team in the Spanish league 30 months after they moved out for construction to commence.
“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
The stadium will not be at full capacity with 45,401 fans can be present as per the current authorization. After final construction, the Camp Nou is due to hold over 104,000 attendees, up from the previous 99,000. Officials confirmed completed upgrades featured an updated entryway for the team plus modern locker rooms.
Recent Activities
Barcelona held a public practice at the Camp Nou in early November. The club said approval is being pursued from Uefa to play their next home Champions League game versus the German side next month at the stadium. Previous fixtures took place in the temporary ground.
