An aircraft hovering over a well-attended southern California coastline suddenly began spiraling wildly, finally losing altitude and plunging into a row of palm trees as spectators watched.
Videos shared online show the helicopter starting to spin over the shoreline then falling near the edge of the beach, where it ends up lodged among palms and a set of stairs close to the shoreline route.
First Aid Update
The Huntington Beach fire department stated five people were rushed to the hospital involving two individuals who were in the aircraft and were “rescued from the debris” after the incident on that day.
Three individuals on the pavement were injured. Information on their condition were not yet released.
What led to the incident was not immediately released.
