Vinted Shoppers Express Anger Over Sizing Updates
Members of the platform have expressed outrage due to a modification that led to products showing incorrect sizing.
The popular resale platform has updated its measurement guidelines for female and kids' apparel without notifying every member regarding the update.
Social Media Backlash
Countless users and merchants are posting online stating that platform listings now display an altered size classification compared to what was initially listed as a result of the reclassification.
The platform stated the updated approach better aligns with other platforms.
They have suggested members to examine their items and manually change the size when needed, resulting in member annoyance.
Sizing System Changes
Earlier, the measurements included numerical and alphabetical indicators, like S/8 or M/10.
The revised method features a letter and a range for example S/UK 8-10.
In some cases, the size labels have been reassigned - like an L measurement was previously a 12 but now shows as UK 16-18.

Frankie Bridger, who creates plus-size fashion videos, stated the update "complicates both purchasing and selling".
"Rarely do manufacturers list XL as sizes 20-22," the way the service now categorizes.
Another user, located in Scotland, stated items she posted on Vinted with size 14 labels were appearing on the platform as larger sizing 20-22.
"Should someone sized 20-22 purchase these they may become frustrated," she explained.
Necessary Adjustments
Charlotte Lunn, from Derby, said she had been left angered because the modification necessitated personal updates the sizing for "all her products".
"Personally, this is quite irritating, as I'm chronically ill and platform income has been essential after experiencing income reduction," she explained.
Service Background
The platform boasts over 100 million users, comprising 18 million UK members.
It has emerged as a preferred choice versus similar marketplaces including eBay and Depop.
This isn't the first time that an unexpected update within the service has received backlash: last year, Vinted reversed a change concerning shipment methods after backlash from users.
